Change of Calling.

So Levi has a new calling. He is now the 1st counselor in the Elders quorum. He is still the sunday school president, but He is gonna be released soon. So now we are a little more busy than usual, but happy we are feeling a little more "needed" in this ward calling wise. Which is good.

We are in trouble now! Last night two hours before we put the babies to bed Lacie figured out how to crawl. I am of course supper happy and excited for this moment, but I know by the end of today i will probably be bothered that I have to work around a new obstacle of keeping her safe if I look away for more than 20 seconds.
I think it will get really fun when she starts chasing Chloe everywhere. So happy you did it Lacie doll!

Thanks aunt Chelsey and uncle Nick for the princess house. It is the destination for any princess movie watching and of course all the toys the girls are playing with for the day.

Lacie has started pulling up on me, or other things, furniture, toy car, tv stand... she isn't pro yet be she is getting better at it. She is also so close to crawling (I think) she crawls with her arms or legs not both at the same time... and when she does crawl with the legs she face plants and reaches at the same time. its pretty cute I will try to get a video of it on here. :o)

Sometimes I forget I am a constant 'Role model' I do so many things to try and teach my children good but I some times forget that I have a 2yr old watching me, who is very eager to learn new things...I am always reminded when she repeats the things I would not like her to. (Not that I will make a long list of my bad habits ;]) But it always makes my heart smile when she does something cute and adorable because she saw me do it.

Earlier this week I was holding Lacie on my lap while on our laptop. and Chloe got all excited and ran and got her laptop and baby. And sat on the couch just like mommy :o) I love her!

I Have a New Calling, Again...

So I guess I am "Lucky" to have two Callings at once...I have never done that before. But I guess Being in a smaller ward gives you that opportunity. So my other new calling is "The R.S. Activity Chairman('woman')" aka the O.T.S.M.(other than Sunday meeting)person. I am super nervous! But I guess You can all be my little helpers and give me good insight and ideas on activities I can plan with my committee Well Wish me luck!

Adventure to Sea World

During our Christmas vacation this year we went to Sea World to spend some of Levi's winter vacation time somewhere fun for the girls. I am pretty sure Lacie enjoyed looking around at all the interesting animals, but Chloe Loved every moment of it! She was so excited about everything that it was impossible to get her to get a nap in half way through the day. So she ended up getting pretty grumpy come late afternoon... None the less, I was so amazed and excited myself! I loved seeing all the beautiful animals and learning new fun facts.

What better way to start the road trip down to SW (sea world) than with SW (Sub-way) lol. just thought of that right now. we were on our way to our hotel.

Funny story here: The Lead of the dolphin show was named Marina. Chloe was SO excited to see her(only problem was she thought it was my brother's wife) So we see the show watch the dolphins do some amazing tricks and at the end. Chloe starts balling! MORE NINA!! poor kid. This is when we knew she was over due for her nap... but she wouldn't give up that easily..lol

So here are pictures from Chloe's Birthday, and her birthday party with family... Since we were all sick on Chloe's actual birthday, we rescheduled it.

On her actual birthday... She opened her blues clues puppy. Her birthday was blues clues themed this year!

One of her favorite presents was the baby!

Plus she can now feed her baby milk and Juice...

She also enjoys giving the baby her "fire" (pacifier).

The biggest surprise was her reaction to the baby stroller! she was spazing out as soon as she saw the wheels. It was so cute!
I wish we were taping her first reaction but this is a close second.. :o)

For cake we had Cake pops, because We were saving the big cake for the party.

Little White Lie...

So most of the story is true about our new table... there's just one part I left out. It was somewhat of a DIY (Do It Yourself) project. And I am more than just secretly Proud of it!

This is our old Table, we loved this little table. We waited almost 2 or three months before we bought it because we were so poor. So, Originally we layed out a table cloth( a wedd. gift) on the floor and sat down to eat dinner. It was fun and "romantic" for about a week, Then we thought we might benefit our backs and meal enjoyment, if we were sitting at a 'real' table. And of course being poor college folk at the time we got the cheapest table we could get(that wasn't Hideous, the DI in Provo is a little worn down in my opinion...) This thing sold in about 30 mins flat on craigslist. :o)

Well here's the rest of the story, and where the white lie comes in... I found a table at walmart being clearanced out for $25!!! Yes thats right how could I pass this up? Originally $100. So I tried getting the people at our local Walmart to hold it for me, but they wouldn't, not even if I already bought it! LAME! So, I called Levi up and told him the good news...lol. Well He came down with the truck and picked up the table for me. What a HUNK! Now all that we needed was to find Chairs.

SO here's the lie: My Mom, Dad, Brother, and his Wife came over for dinner. And we had just gotten the table some beautiful chairs. And when they asked where I got it, I said "A little mom and pop shop down here in Anaheim" Which is true... But...I didn't tell them that this mom and pop shop was a thrift shop. So there you have it. I guess since I confessed for the world to see that makes it all better, Right? ;o) But please don't be offended by this, I was curious to see if our hard work looked good enough to pass the high standard of quality furniture that they thought I bought.

Any way I am super proud of my find, but not only that! I am proud that I found 6 chairs to make a matching set! 6 solid wood chairs!! what a steal! So we sanded them down (they had a bad stain job) and painted them here are some pictures from the process..

We got a lot of dirty looks from our various "neighbors" that would pass by us durring this project, but it was well worth it! Although the people upstairs were so polite about it. I still need to bake them a plate of cookies or something to say sorry for all the noise...

So I did it again, I forgot the camera on blessing day. Man, I am a terrible mom. So same story with Chloe happened with Lacie. It makes me so sad! We didn't get One picture from the whole day! So I figured since I was late at taking picks of Chloe in her blessing dress,she was about 4 months old when I got to it. And I was planning on Lacie being 4mo. when I took pics of her too, But I didn't know that we wouldn't have our stuff for over a month, so I finally took them about a month ago and I am putting them up about a month later. Oh well. I guess I win terrible mom of the year award. But with all that said I hope you like the pictures at least.

We are in the process of getting new pieces of furniture for our new apartment.
these bar stools came one afternoon before Levi was home from work.

Being as anxious an I am when I get new things, I could't wait for him to set them up!! That's right I did these bad boys all by myself, during Nap time..

Its amazing what you can get done when you don't have mini people constantly grabbing at the choking hazards laying around...

This is what my Dad and Levi thought of when Chloe kept saying "more-door".

We were lucky enough to have grandparents come to us, and go tricker treating with my parents. They LOVED it. Chloe was a little confused on why I asked her to knock on a door and say "trick or treat", but when she saw she got candy for it. It didn't take her long to start screaming out "MORE-DOOR-MORE-DOOR!!" She was so cute and happy to get the candy.

Here's how it went, a door opens:

Me: "Say trick or treat!"
Chloe:"Treat!!!"
Me:"Say Thank you!"
Chloe:"Tit-too!"
This just brought back funny memories for me when I passed out candy to adorable tricker-treaters :o)

These are our adorable Little Puppy "Blue" and "cupcake" (did you notice the paw print on Lacie? She was our clue! Levi and I were the opitomy of Lazy/Ghetto costumes. We were Homemade Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper Pretty much, I wore a grey shirt and put a P on, Levi was White with a S on. I know So creative..lol. If it helps our cause any we did have Tin foil hats to make the tops of the shakers..lol.)

Sadly we didn't get a pick of us, but I am not gonna start crying about it... hope you had a fun and safe holiday!

Yes that's right, Levi and I officially have new callings in our ward. I am the ward chorister. Yep, that's right, me. The chick that can't even read music. But hey, at least I got that "brazilian" rhythm to help me out right? SO when we met with the bishop, he asked if I liked to sing and I said, yes, as long as I am not alone. he Asked if I played any instruments, and I told him guitar. funny thing is that the "notes" that I play are just memorized positions on the guitar...

I am probably just feeling a little insecure about the whole thing, can you tell? I just think it's ironic that I am the girl that would spell my name in cursive during the hymn in seminary, because I didn't really know how to lead the music.. ha.

Well I have been practicing with the online training course on the church web site. Yeah, it's pretty dated. But, it's helpful. I just can't get past the awesome styles that these people are sporting. I just chuckle in my head. Although the best part of the whole video is at the end. Cause you get to lead the Mo-Tab. Hows that for a confidence boost?

And I know you all are dying to know what Levi is... Because I think he always gets lucky with the good callings... well are you ready to know? The suspense is killing you right?

Lacie has had her two bottom teeth in for about a week now. and they are sharp! she seems to be more of a biter than Chloe ever was. She bites HARD! and now, we are trying to feel for those top teeth, but 'cha gotta be quick when doing that, otherwise she might draw some blood... All in good time with halloween coming up I suppose?

This is probably the best shot of the newly sprouted teeth I could get! Seriously, I know you are all thinking this woman is crazy, I don't see any teeth!

First Beach Trip

So about a month ago I took the girls to the beach for the first time and these are the photos from that trip. Levi didn't come with us so it was hard for me to get picks of Lacie because I was holding her. She was a little grumpy that day.. But cute none the less :o)

So this was our first Family trip to the beach since Levi was at work the last time we went. So I was able to take a lot more pics of this super cute Baby! I love this face so cute and squishy!

The move

So the story behind our move isn't all that exciting, other than the fact that we didn't have our stuff for about a month! We were basically camping in a empty house with less things that we would have packed to go camping... so yeah. after the movers finally contacted us to give us our stuff back..We had a house full of boxes, and with the help and very consistent encouragement from my mother in law we got all 95 boxes unpacked in one day! Yes, I unpacked almost all of them myself while she was the girl's entertainment. It worked out quite nicely. But for a while there our room looked like a hoarders nightmare as i like to call it, because there were just trails everywhere. But it's a lot better now. We have a few things here and there that still need "homes" but for the most part it is all put away. We just need to finish hanging all the pictures and such.... but I will post more cute photos later..

Downtown Disney

So since I am still catching up... when my sister and her husband were visiting us, they were kind enough to treat us to a dinner in downtown disney!

Here are a few really cool things we saw when we were there! Mickey's giant fantasia hat!

A building that looks like it fell out of the Book of Mormon! (aka: The rainforest cafe) Don't mind the innocent stander-by..

We went to the lego store because Levi was really drawn to it, and there were tons of Giant things made of legos,bu the best was Darth Vader! Chloe was really scared of it so I didn't get her and Levi in the pic,But It made me think of you Shawn! :o)

The girls love our bed! Lacie loves just being where we are, and Chloe loves running and jumping onto the bed. (Which we stopped very quickly.) But they are so cute together. Ora as Chloe would say, 'Coot'.

SO... We made it! into our new house! and we have absolutely nothing! so we had to buy a super cheap set of pots and pans so we could cook something.. because all we have access to is a stove, and an oven. which normally wouldn't be a problem for me to cook with. But if you only have 4 dishes to use aside from the 3 pans we bought, it kinda makes it hard, because we don't have cookie sheets, Pyrex pans... etc. So I feel like we are re-living the poor meal days. even though Levi has a good job now..I guess it takes a while for some things to change completely ;o)

So we just barely got our fridge 3 hours befrore we went grocery shopping and forgot the condiments.. We lucked out we went to in n out for lunch that day. ;o)

We Still don't have any furniture in our new apartment. Long story.. But on the fun side. We had Aunt Chelsey and uncle Nick stay with us because they were in town and were on their way to Disneyland! And what better place to stay than the mismatch hotel? THats right we have mismatching everything in our house right now because we don't have anything in matching sets.So I apologize for lack of homey comfort. Next time we have you as guests it will be better! and we may even have a continental breakfast too!!! lol.So because we don't have any furniture, Levi decided that we should build a fort out of our mattress pads that Chelsey and Nick so courteously brought over to our house for themselves to sleep on. haha. (borrowed from my parents of course...) so once again the random photo selection.

We had some of the cousins over for a swim while I was visiting with my parents and Levi's parents after Luke and Aubrey's wedding. I call it Limbo time. Because Levi was still finishing his Masters degree at Byu, But I didn't want to make the drive from utah to cali twice again, so I stayed and visited family instead :o) Again in no special order..Crazy hair after swimming.

Dinosaur Museum

SO way back when we lived in utah, a few weeks before we moved, my mom came up to visit. And durring that visit, she took Chloe and Lacie to the dinosaur museum. It was surprissingly fun... Since I wouldn't really say I am into dinosaurs... and i didn't think Chloe would be either, but I was wrong. Anything really big and cool to look at is always interesting to a two year old. :o)Here are some random pics from the day.

I guess since it is past midnight I have to say "yesterday" was our 4th wedding anniversary. I am so grateful for the blessing of a sweet and wonderful husband in my life. And a great father to our daughters. I am blessed to have temple blessings and covenants start the beginning of our wonderful journey of being married to eachother. We definitively have not had the easiest journey 'material' wise...But I am grateful for that. I think it has taught me to appreciate the simple things in life. To be grateful for my eternal blessings, rather than what I have or own on this earth.

I guess I am kinda hopeful that will change a little since Levi has a job lined up now, and we keep adding more sweet spirits to our eternal family (eventually). :o) I hope I can always look back on the beginning years of our married lives as a blessing, and teach that to my children. Because it has brought Levi and I closer together as friends and companions. Something I always remembered from our wedding day was our sealer told us to introduce one another as our eternal companion, so that we can always remember who we really are. I have to say I don't usually do that... but it will often run through my mind. Levi, thanks for loving me with all my imperfections. I found this cute video, I hope that we can be like the little old couple with the ladle (aka Tom and Joyce) :o)

On Sunday, one of my favorite older sisters in our ward came up to Levi and said; "You are surrounded by beautiful women my friend" meaning me and the girls. I thought it was cute and sweet of her. Then Levi said, "I know I am a lucky man". We talked with her for a minute or two about how we will be moving to cali soon, then went our separate ways...Today I came across this sweet video, a talk from President Hinckley, and felt grateful that I can say I married a man like he explains how a husband should be. I love you Levi♥

Lately Chloe's Favorite toys are her baby we got her before Lacie was born. She treats it like a real baby in the sense that if Lacie is not sitting somewhere, the baby doll is then allowed to take her place.

When mom, Leesa, was here we took the girls to get some pictures done. Hollie Ann was gracious enough to come and help :o) THANK YOU BOTH!! We had fun for the most part, Chloe did really well in the photo shoot(Probably because she's old enough to smile on her own), but when it was Lacie's turn the guy who was taking the pictures was seriously zoning out so he missed half of her smiles!!! ugg., and was kinda retarded about the whole thing so we only got a few good ones of Lacie... Oh well maybe next time the person we get won't be such a nerd...So grandparents and Great grands, We Have mailed out some of these pictures of the girls. Chloe's new favorite game...The Go? game. She covers her eyes and asks, Go? as in where did I go? You pretend like you can't see her...

Then she Laughs to herself...Because she thinks that she has out smarted you.(whether the covering of her eyes is with some sort of fabric, clothing, or just her hands.)

Then there is the look of sheer approval and excitement! Because she has once again just out smarted you.

My other FAVORITE is the face plant!

But she is still just excited as ever to show you where she went.

The saddest part of all this is when she is in trouble...and you ask her to do something, that she knows she should, and instead of obeying, she just closes her eyes at you, hoping that you won't notice she is even there...
Then you ask her again reassuring her verbally. "Chloe, I can see you." Then she just laughs and tries to run away. We are still working on that, I let you know if it gets better...(*Sigh*)

So this was our third year attending the summer fest parade since we have been married. It's been nice living down the street from the parade location so we don't have to worry about parking spaces and traffic. There were TONS of cute float this year so here are some of my favs:

Chloe liked looking at all the floats but the thing she loved the most was anything really noisy. She loved the airplanes that flew above our heads, and the police motorcycles that would clear the way before the parade started.

I was always one of those girls who told myself I would never let my child sport a baby mullet. But, because I love my husband, and because he has a LOVE for long beautiful hair. I waited to cut it. and I also waited for him to be the photographer so that he wouldn't be in complete shock if it turned out terrible and uber short.(Which I think I did a pretty good job at, Yes I am congratulating myself.)

So here are some pics so you can see what her hair looked like before. The shaggy bangs. Which I am sure you have seen in many a picture.

The friz/fuz fro section. The rattiest part of her head. and also the very obvious two distinctive layers.
(So nasty looking it nearly killed the walrus!)

And wet so you can see just how long it got before I had to fix it.

Just so curious as to what is going on.

MoHawk. her hair used to make a U shape because it grew in really long at her bangs, and really long on the crown(or back) of her head. We got that all straightened out.

Our new landlords redid the swing set in our backyard that we share. And We love it! Chloe has been enjoying the new baby swing that they so sweetly got for her to play on. They have to be the best people we have ever rented from, not that we have had tons. Or even a bad landlord. But they are just always so sweet and thoughtful.

For the past few weeks Levi and I have bee very sick, and Chloe and Lacie seemed that they were also starting to get sick. But thankfully they didn't get the worst part of it. We knew Grandma was planning to visit us in June, but didn't know we would be so sick, so we were so grateful for the extra rest and sleep we got :o)

But what I like even more is that When I captured it again for Lacie, is that the girls are wearing the same exact out fit! :o) and on the same couch, we just had a sheet on it because we have all been sick over here. So I kicked Levi out of our room for the week so that we could keep Lacie healthier. But no worries, Levi and I have moved Lacie in to be roomies with Chloe and so far its been wonderful. (knock on wood.) And Levi likes it because he actually gets to sleep in a real bed again.

A little blurry but you can see that cute smile she has. I have a REALLY hard time taking pics of new born smiles with my current camera because its super old and takes a picture ten seconds after the moment has passed. but at least I got one smile :o)

Watching Chloe run around in excitement. She loves her baby sister Lacie so she tries to perform tricks for her. this is pretty much Lacie's reaction, a semi- frightened look. wondering what will come next.

This seems to be a CLASSIC Lacie face. But it is pretty Cute :o) Just don't mess with her, she means business.

Just an update on this sweetie pie, today was her 6 week appointment with the midwife just the last check up, she is doing well, growing very big! She is already 12 pounds! Now we are just waiting for her to accomplish more of those milestones. I think Chloe will have fun seeing that happen too. We love her so MUCH!!

The awesome cards have to be one of the best things ever! Look at Levi's artistic abilities. He did it all while I was sleeping, isn't it adorable. :o)

He even traced Lacie's foot (a huge challenge he informed me) and Chloe's hand, and I don't know if you can read it it's kinda blurry, but it says I am the #1 mom! whoot! lol.

I love seeing my girls playing together. They even look like they coordinated the dance moves.

And the other thing that brings joy to me is how adorably cute they are! Matchy dresses are definitely a favorite :o)

I LOVE being a mommy to these sweet girls and I am so grateful I have Levi to help me through it all. I love you Levi thanks for making my days as a mother and wife wonderful♥ You are the best.

Chloe is obsessed with brushing her teeth! which I am totally happy about except for the part where only she can do it... Or the part where she leaves the tooth brush on the floor and continually walks on it and smashes dirt into the bristles. Then I feel like it's defeating the purpose...

Chloe's hair is kinda in a wacky stage right now. so we have fun after bath time. Her hair do totally reminds me of the villan on the Incredibles.(minus the creeper smile of course.)

Our sweet Lacie girl is doing great! Sorry it took me so long to make a post. I have been very busy and tired. She is 2 weeks old now and getting SO BIG!! she is 9 1/2 lbs now! she is growing fast. We love her so much and are happy she is part of our eternal family. Everything went really well for her birth. 9 hours total which is a huge improvement from Chloe's 20 hour time record. And I pushed her out in only 2 mins. Whoop whoop. I know pretty amazing.lol. She is the new love of our lives, especially Chloe's. I can see the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I love my girls and I am so grateful to have our sweet Lacie with us now to make our family that much better!

Chloe is a little obsessed with this bucket. It's technically a basket, for her fruit toys. But I just call her bucket head when ever this happens. She is quite obsessed!

And sometimes she will even play peek a boo with you and the hat. She thinks its so funny that you can't see her anymore when she covers her eyes, but she can "secretly" see you through those holes :o)

So tonight for family night we are gonna sing the popcorn popping song with friends :o) One of Levi's mission companions lives out here but they will be moving in about 5 weeks or so. So we wanted to get our kids together before they took off. we are in Charge of the lesson so I prepared a song for our crowd of: a 2 year old, 16 month old, and 6 month old babies/toddlers :o) I kinda feel bad admitting this is probably our 3rd time ever doing family night because We just never did it as a newly wed couple, But now that Chloe is bigger and we are adding more kids into the mix, I figure it's a good tradition to start NOW. Hopefully we have fun! I will let you guys know. Hopefully we will remember to take pics with all the fun we are having.

Since last night Chloe became interested in watching "TV" on our Lappy. She normally would only be able to sit for about 2-5 mins 5 being 'success'. for any show. But Yesterday she watched Kipper, a cute little show with a dog. the episodes on Netflix are about 5 mins each and she watched about 45 mins straight! I know, a monumental time in her life. and today she did a whole 30 min episode of Blues Clues.

I guess I am just amazed because I thought this day would come a lot later since I didn't start her on TV when she was little. Hopefully this will be beneficial in helping me take care of her new baby sister, and I can get Chloe to be distracted for some feedings and what not. Here's to being optimistic :o)

It's 3:30 in the morning and I still can't sleep. Not because of insomnia, but because I keep replaying moments from the night in my mind. What I am getting at is how people, who "know me" or I should say people who I grew up with decide to tell me how my life is playing out "wrong". It is driving me Nuts! I normally try not to be a whiner or cry baby, especially when I am writing online where people can misinterpret my tone. But right now, I don't care. Because I am having an attitude about this.

Basically I had a night of several women who I grew up with being the "role models" and motherly figures in my parents ward bashing on me for having a second child so close in age with Chloe. What the HECK!!? Did I ask you if you thought it was a good idea in my family planning session? No? Oh yeah, that's because you ain't part of it. So back off, please. I normally could care less when someone tells me, "Oh well that's close..." and lifts an eyebrow. But not when It's like 5 different people all on the same night, one after the other...seriously?

Let me just say, RUDE! I am actually quite excited about this sweet little girl who will be joining our family. And if you don't have the same excitement, well then please just shut your face, because I don't need your disapproving looks and opinions on how I should live my life. Who made you the king anyways? All I am saying is that it got old really fast. And I know that these 'blessed' women will probably never end up reading this anyways, but for those few people who do, just let it be a lesson to you, try and be more Christlike in the words that you say to those young mothers who are trying their best. Doing what is asked of us.

Ok so now that I have vented, just disregard any harsh feelings I may have sent your way. I will try and get some sanity back by once again trying to fall asleep. Once I stop crying that is. Hormones...at least I have grown a greater love for this new daughter of mine.

Anxious'R'us

Do you ever feel like the above? Yeah that's right, a really anxious old woman(or man)? Well I sure do... I am on the verge of having my second child and it can't seem to come fast enough. Clearly, this has been "aging" me. I know she feels my pain.... Or maybe she looks like that because she is just trying really, REALLY hard not to pee her pants! haha. Okay. enough making fun of the poor old lady.

But seriously, there are just times in our lives when we wished we just knew what was next. So that's number one, number two is that Levi is graduating this spring/summer and we are still waiting to find out what will happen with the grant for his PHD. If he gets it, Great all of our problems are solved, we are staying in Utah that much longer, no packing required!(for a little w while at least) But if not that's okay too, because we will still know what we are doing, or we will be moving somewhere "special".... Other than this dilemma in my life, I couldn't be happier. I guess the good thing is that they both follow the same time line.... We should know the answer for both right around the time the baby is born. It doesn't get much better than this right? So here's to being that old lady. Oh the possibilities.

Spring Cleaning?

Yesterday, Chloe figured out how to open the trash can and threw away some old receipts that were laying around. So I congratulated her and told her she did a good deed. A few mins later, I caught her trying to throw away her snack container. and told her we only throw away trash.

Well this morning I think Chloe was trying to help me "clean" by trowing away a perfectly good sock. and then when I went to go retrieve it she tried to throw in her 'little people' cow (you can see it's head in the top of the pic). I had to rescue that one too.

Maybe the next time something goes missing I will check here first. :o)

This is something that NEVER happens. Chloe has only fallen asleep in her high chair once before. And I wasn't even there to see it. But After my 14 months with this little girl, I have finally been able to snap a shot of this "monumental" moment. I guess she is now a true toddler because she can sleep some where other than her crib from pure exhaustion. It's scary to think she is not a "baby" anymore. But at least I have another one coming in approximately, 44 days :o)

Sorry I feel like I have turned into a video blogger rather than a picture blogger. But Chloe is OBSESSED with herself. That is the easiest way to put it. She loves watching the baby. Any time we go over to the computer, she runs over to you saying "uh uh uh uh" as in up, and sits on your lap wanting to watch the 'baby'. So we show her all the videos on the blog, or pictures of herself on facebook. It does get old, so I keep posting new videos for my self I guess, that way I don't get quite as bored...

We have a big girl car seat for Chloe, We have had it for a while now. The other day I let Chloe play in, Lets just say she loves that chair. When ever she runs off some where and I am looking for her 99% of the time she is climbing up on that chair or already sitting in it. She even let me buckle her up in it with no fussing. And stayed buckled up for a while too. Now all we need is for Chloe to get a little taller and heavier so she can actually ride in it in our car. :o)

Chloe's Girliest obsession

Bracelets. She finds something that is round(ish) and if she can squeeze her little hand through it, it goes right on. sometimes she puts 3 on the same arm.

Since Levi and I are part of YM and YW, we get to do cool activities together every once in a while. A week or two ago the youth were combined and their activity was glow stick volley ball. Chloe was loving all the psychedelic colors.

So when the other leaders saw how happy Chloe was to have some more of those glow sticks they just kept passing them out. haha. Even the youth pitched in when the activity was over. :o) We got quite the collection....try 30!!! Yeah, that's A LOT of glow sticks I know.

But now, Chloe can really feel like a real zombie and do the thriller dance!

Being a Parent has its confusing moments..(As my Mom and Dad are reading this they chuckle to them selves, "heh heh"). Chloe can be a good eater, and a BAD eater. She LOVES one type of food for maybe an hour, a day or even a whole week! And then, she probably says to herself, "Self, I am gonna confuse Mom today. Yeah, ok, that sounds fun."

All last week she was the little peach eater. Up until this morning. Then I am sure she conferences herself and decides to be a not so good eater... All morning I could not get her to eat those peaches! She made a mess of her chair as usual, dropping pieces here and there. and some even landed on the amazing foot rest that her feet never touch because, a. She is too short. and, b. She just tucks her feet up on the tray.

So I let her out to go play leaving the food on there still because I just don't feel like cleaning it just yet. I figure I will do it when she takes her nap, because my pregnant body is just lazy today. Then it happened! She walked over to the chair and right there off the footstool she ate them! Those peaches were gone!

I couldn't believe my eyes. So I did it again. Set up the "bait" and she was Hooked! Whoohooo! Go momma team! And do you know what I did? That's right I did it again and again. Go figure.

Sadly it all ended in tears when I put her back in her chair, and tried to get her to eat from inside of it. When I put Chloe down for a nap, it doesn't happen. Instead she decides that taking her pants and socks off, and laughing about it would be funner...

Then, she gives you this adorable grin like "Aren't I so cute Mom?"

Then, she starts to get wiggly everywhere....Even her tongue gets wiggly.

Then, she runs a muck in the crib screaming her head off and laughing because you finally came to play.

I bet you wish you were here at "nap" time too. :o)

Yesterday was a normal kind of Sunday, we went to church. Came home and let Chloe skype with Vovo and Grandpa. So While this was happening , Levi was gracious enough to offer to start dinner for us so I could just relax and skype. What a sweetie huh? So He cut up the potatoes and steamed them, and started getting the meat ready for the meat loaf. But the poor guy couldn't find the recipe for meatloaf anywhere! So he came and sat with us while we had our conversation. Asked me where the recipe was, but I just told him that we would do it later because I have the recipe in my head... He Finished making the mashed potatoes and (by the way) they were Delicious as ever. But after we were done talking on skype he told me that he wanted to make dinner for us so I could just relax. And then I just felt bad that I was too snotty to even let him make me dinner. So then I told him about the better homes and gardens recipe book that has almost everythingand anything you could want to eat. I love you Levi, thank you for being so sweet and always taking care of me and Chloe.♥

Levi is amazing when it comes to teaching Chloe new things, He taught her the 5 little monkeys song with motions, and to hold up one finger when asked how old are you on the morning of her birthday. And now, this... It cracks me up to see how much she loves to copy people , but mostly her Daddy. Because he always comes up with the coolest things!

She is still banned from walking and holding a cell phone, that almost ended up in a big "bonks" as we call them, but now she can fix what is dangling from her mouth as she is moving! and she has gotten a lot faster. She can now walk back and forth in the house "helping" me put laundry and other things away with out getting completely worn out :o) As you can see from all the piles on the couch, today was Laundry day.

So I am proud of my find. I found at Ross a pack n play for $35 Brand spankin' new! NEVER BEEN OPENED! haha. Can you tell I am excited? So I have to be honest about the picture. this is just a random pick I found online because I can't find the one that I have at home. But it's kinda a blueish green(Levi says GREEN-Turquoise!hehe) and It has circles on the top part where the design is. I was so excited that I got such a steal on a new one! considering Craig's List only had 2 for $40 or more, used... Whoot! okay that's all. :o)

Walker

So Chloe is Officially walking. I guess its safe to say that. She prefers it over Crawling. But she does have one Problem with it still.. She can't stand up in the middle of a room when she falls. So she will crawl to the nearest wall or piece of furniture. but other than that She is really good :o) here she is showing off her skills. I think being around her cousins helped a lot too. Something funny about this video is Chloe is carrying around this bath wash cloth, I was doing laundry earlier today and she snatched it up and refused to walk with out it. I thought it was cute.

Lesson 1
1. Go to the grocery store.
2. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.
3. Go home.
4. Pick up the paper.
5. Read it for the last time.
Lesson 2
Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who already are parents and berate them about their...
1. Methods of discipline.
2. Lack of patience.
3. Appallingly low tolerance levels.
4. Allowing their children to run wild.
5. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's breastfeeding, sleep habits, toilet training, table manners, and overall behavior.
Enjoy it because it will be the last time in your life you will have all the answers.
Lesson 3
A really good way to discover how the nights might feel...
1. Get home from work and immediately begin walking around the living room from 5PM to 10PM carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12 pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly. (Eat cold food with one hand for dinner)
2. At 10PM, put the bag gently down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep.
3. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, until 1AM.
4. Set the alarm for 3AM.
5. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2AM and make a drink and watch an infomercial.
6. Go to bed at 2:45AM.
7. Get up at 3AM when the alarm goes off.
8. Sing songs quietly in the dark until 4AM.
9. Get up. Make breakfast. Get ready for work and go to work (work hard and be productive)
Repeat s
teps 1-9 each night. Keep this up for 3-5 years. Look cheerful and together.
Lesson 4
Can you stand the mess children make? T o find out...
1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains.
2. Hide a piece of raw chicken behind the stereo and leave it there all summer.
3. Stick your fingers in the flower bed.
4. Then rub them on the clean walls.
5. Take your favorite book, photo album, etc. Wreck it.
6. Spill milk on your new pillows. Cover the stains with crayons. How does that look?
Lesson 5
Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems.
1. Buy an octopus and a small bag made out of loose mesh.
2. Attempt to put the octopus into the bag so that none of the arms hang out.
Time allowed for this - all morning.
Lesson 6
Forget the BMW and buy a mini-van. And don't think that you can leave it out in the driveway spotless and shining. Family cars don't look like that.
1. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment.
Leave it there.
2. Get a dime. Stick it in the CD player.
3. Take a family size package of chocolate cookies. Mash them into the back seat. Sprinkle cheerios all over the floor, then smash them with your foot.
4. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.
Lesson 7
Go to the local grocery store. Take with you the closest thing you can find to a pre-school child. (A full-grown goat is an excellent choice). If you intend to have more than one child, then definitely take more than one goat. Buy your week's groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goat eats or destroys. Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children.

Lesson 8
1. Hollow out a melon.
2. Make a small hole in the side.
3. Suspend it from the ceiling and swing it from side to side.
4. Now get a bowl of soggy Cheerios and attempt to spoon them into the swaying melon by pretending to be an airplane.
5. Continue until half the Cheerios are gone.
6. Tip half into your lap. The other half, just throw up in the air.
You are now ready to feed a nine- month-old baby.
Lesson 9
Learn the names of every character from Sesame Street , Barney, Disney, the Teletubbies, and Pokemon. Watch nothing else on TV but PBS, the Disney channel or Noggin for at least five years. (I know, you're thinking What's 'Noggin'?) Exactly the point.
Lesson 10
Make a recording of Fran Drescher saying 'mommy' repeatedly. (Important: no more than a four second delay between each 'mommy'; occasional crescendo to the level of a supersonic jet is required). Play this tape in your car everywhere you go for the next four years. You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.
Lesson 11
Start talking to an adult of your choice. Have someone else continually tug on your skirt hem, shirt- sleeve, or elbow while playing the 'mommy' tape made from Lesson 10 above. You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while there is a child in the room.

This is all very tongue in cheek; anyone who is parent will say 'it's all worth it!' Share it with your friends, both those who do and don't have kids. I guarantee they'll get a chuckle out of it. Remember, a sense of humor is one of the most important things you'll need when you become a parent!

Third trimester here we come!

So today I went to my midwife appointment for our newest addition. Everything looks great. Her heart beat is strong and she is wiggling more than ever so I think she is pretty healthy. The only Fiasco of the day was when I was in the bathroom leaving my urine sample and Chloe decided to brave it and Snatched up the cup when I wasn't looking. And Magically it went all over the floor but missed her completely. Go figure.. I was so mad at myself for not putting her on the opposite end of the room because I thought about it just two seconds before! don't you love that?

But it is finally starting to hit me that I am gonna be having another baby in a few months now that it is so close. But I am excited/nervous for it! The new year is finally here and I can see everything coming into place a little bit more. It was also nice to see Levi's family for Christmas because everyone was there this year. Chloe got to spend lots of time with her cousins and she learned lots of new tricks from them as well as her aunts and uncles. I am also excited that My sister in law will be having a girl too! just a week or two after me. I hope that they can be good friends with each other. It was so cute to see how well Chloe, Vivian and Benjamin played together. I can't wait for them all to be best of friends as they get older.:o)

Chloe's 2nd Christmas

SO I wish I would have been waiting by the pile of Chloe gifts when I took this video but I guess it was my first time filming Christmas, so that's the excuse I am gonna run with. But you still can see how excited she is to get her puppy.

We kinda let Chloe pick out her own Christmas presents in the store and let her play with them until about a month before Christmas. Then we hid the goods. But I think that was what made her expression so great!

Bob-Sled-Team

Once upon a time in a winter wonderland called Washington There was a family with a dream...To become the next Bobsledding team! They had the perfect location, the perfect sled, but...

Sadly there were only two members for the team, Daddy, and Chloe. So they decided to recruit Mommy and have her get to work on getting one more member on the team. So next winter they will be complete with 4 contestants!

You can already see some of the competition trying to stay fit, or maybe Uncle Jeremy is just posing for the picture to scare us....But Daddy's Face goes to show that He isn't scared one bit! ;o)

Okay enough of my crazy stories... We really just took Chloe out for a sledding trip in the yard and she LOVED it! Although they say a picture is worth 1000 words..so I couldn't help myself. haha.

Levi is such a fun daddy! He pulled me and Chloe around for a while but I wanted to get some pictures of Chloe having fun so I got off the sled. This is Chloe's I'm cold but I'm not gonna cry face because I really like sledding.

She was a good little trooper, she even face planted it once and Levi and I just gasped and stared for a couple seconds. Then we rushed to get her face out of the snow but she was still totally happy. What a good kid.

Michael Buble!!!

So after my brother's wedding, My parents, my sister, a few of my mom's friends and I went to go see Michael Buble in concert! It was AHHHHHH-MAZING!!!!!!!!! I have never been to a real concert before, just the dinky ones at Mary Ker park in palmdale. But this concert was at the Staples center. Levi told me all about how cool this place was with statues of famous people like Magic Johnson. So since he was already back home when we ended up going I told him I would get a pic with his buddy Magic. He was HUGE!

Anyways back to Michael. I love his music so much! it's classy, its fun, hip and everything in between. I don't really know anyone who doesn't like his music. not to mention all ages love him. And I guess you could say he is handsome because there are so many people at the concert saying they wanted to marry him. Even though they are already married. I won't mention any family members' names...

He sings our song (Levi's and mine) Everything. So that was a added bonus when my heart skipped a beat when I heard the opening notes. He is so entertaining. He is hilarious, and Charming. He is so polite and really shows the audience how grateful he is for you to be there.

And I must say He does sound WAY better Live than his Cd, which is crazy. He sings this song at the end of his concert A capella, and with no mic. yes NO mic. and you can hear it all the way in the back! Where we were sitting. He has so much talent. I thoroughly enjoyed it if you couldn't tell... But the last thing I am gonna say is if you have the chance to ever see him live TAKE IT!!! you won't regret it. The only thing I would have changed was having Levi be there with me. Because I just really wanted to hold his hand while he sang all of these love songs! Okay, I'm done now. :o)

There's a tree in my living room...

SO I have been a slacker at blogging the last few weeks.So you have three new posts to read today! We got our tree about a week ago and set it all up. I just was busy packing and doing other things that I didn't get the chance to post a pic. So here is a really bad looking picture because the light coming out from the window. but you get the idea.

It did however take us a little while to find it.. We usually get our trees from smiths a grocery store right by our house. because they are always the perfect height, and price. but they were sold out! on December 6Th! What?! and they were not going to get in any more shipments for the rest of the year! BOOO! Talk about Scrooge. So we had to go on a little hunt before we found some decently priced at Lowe's. And there it was, The PERFECT Tree!!!

And of course this tree comes with all the bonus' of having a real tree, smell, look and spirit of Christmas. Chloe has done really well with the tree. I am really weird about her touching it, because I am worried it will fall on top of her...I don't really want to say in detail what I am scared of, but you get the picture. But she is a good little listener(most of the time). I tell her "no, no" and do a head shake. So she does it too now. Its funny how I can basically read my child's brain, because she will do the "no,no" head shake to herself and then look at you to make sure you know she can't touch it.

Now I just need to get cracking on sending my Christmas cards out...

Chloe had lots of fun getting her wiggles out in our living room. She had been cooped up in that car seat for way too long. She had so much food and crumbs stashed away in her little jumpsuit she kept finding them all over the floor. You can even get a small glance of my preggo belly.

So it has finally happened! Shawn and Marina are officially MARRIED!!! And we are so excited for our new sister(and aunt for Chloe)in the family. It was such a beautiful day out side! I almost felt like an idiot for packing winter clothes for Chloe. It was so HOT! Aside from the weather it was a beautiful day at the temple too. It was so neat being able to have both my parents, my husband, sister and me all be together to see Shawn and Marina get sealed. It was so special to have our whole family there.

After the sealing we went to see Grandma (p.s.my mom is Vovo' [Portuguese for grandma]) and Chloe. We changed her into her wedding party dress and decided to take some family pictures while we waited for the happy couple♥ This is my favorite, even Chloe is smiling.

turkey day

So here are the thanks giving pies that my sister and I made. She made the pecan pie and I helped her make the peach pie. The other pies I made by myself. they are black berry, apple and pumpkin.

I think my favorite pie is the pumpkin pie, the turkey I made for Chloe is sooo cool! I love it! and I am really proud of it.lol. if you can't tell. They all turned out to be amazing!

The night before thanks giving was CRAZY! But it always is right? My sister and I got the whole feast together. But it sure was delicious! hope you had a happy thanksgiving!

Look out Levi, our house is about to get loaded with a lot more pretty pink frills and bows!

So basically, This little girl was just so mellow and chillaxed that the ultra sound guy couldn't get a good picture of the baby's profile, she was just Comfy where she was and wasn't moving.(Which I partially think was because I had one of the First apts. in the morning and just woke up myself..but who knows). We got random pictures of legs, arms,her spine, kidneys...ect. So you get the next best thing...the gender pic. lol. So here ya go, another girl :o) and we are totally excited about it!

I think the funniest part was when we were leaving and I told Chloe we could officially buy her some cute girly boots for winter. Because if this baby was gonna be a boy, then Levi would have made me buy neutral brown. which is fine I guess, but so much more fun picking out the Girlie ones. Levi just kinda smiled and shook his head. I bet he was thinking, "That's the first thing you thought about? Shoes?Oh Brother..." I am happy Chloe will have a sister to play with and of course one day fight with... But in the end we all know they will be best friends....right? Right.

We have also had our second "First snow" today, but we are still waiting to take Chloe out to play in it until there is enough to actually make something cool out of it.
